  When will BCBS branches open?

BCBS will reopen in April 2022, however BCBS has decided not to renew their agreement to have Advanced Financial branches inside the BCBS buildings. Although Advanced Financial FCU will not have a physical branch in the BCBS buildings, we still have 4 other locations that can serve our BCBS members. .

Does the West Orange Branch now accept cash deposits?

Our West Orange Branch is a full-service branch that can accept and give out cash, there is also an overnight drop box avaialble for deposits after business hours.

Are there surcharge-free ATM locations?

We have ATMs at our Roselle Branch & New Providence Branch. We will be installing new updated ATM’s at these locations this spring to better serve you. We belong to the Co-op network which gives you access to thousands of surcharge-free ATMs nationwide To find a Co-op ATM near you, you can use the ATM Locator.

What do I need to set up direct deposit?

You need your account number and our routing number 221276817. You also need to indicate if the deposit is to savings or checking.

How to Deposit cash or checks? How do I make payments on my loan or AFFCU credit card?

You have many options :
  • All branches accept cash and checks for deposit or payments.
  • Our ATMs accept deposits as do many other ATM’s at other financial institutions. You will need an Advanced Financial debit card to complete these transactions. Cash and checks accepted.
  • Mobile Deposit using our mobile app – checks only
  • By mail to any of our branches – checks only
  • AFFCU credit card payments may be made online by connecting to the credit card online access portal through online banking.
  • Use a bill pay service at another financial institution where you maintain an account to send a check payment to AFFCU. Be sure to include your complete member number and a reference to the loan to be paid or the account for deposit.

How to use Mobile Deposit

Enroll in online banking at our website www.advfinfcu.com. Download the mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play and use the same credentials for online banking to sign in. Tap on Deposit and follow the instructions

Can you help with enrolling in Online Banking?

Yes. You need to have your account number and an email address to begin. One of our staff can walk you through enrollment over the phone. If you have an existing online banking account, you can reset your password yourself through browser based online banking. If this is not successful, our member service staff can assist by providing a temporary password over the phone after validating your identity.

How much can you withdraw at ATM daily?

The maximum ATM withdrawal daily is $500.00

What is my daily usage limit for signature-based transactions on my debit card (selecting credit at point of sale)?

The daily limit for non-PIN transactions at point of sale using a debit card is $4,500.00. Funds must be available in the account to complete any transaction. Register your card with UChoose Rewards to earn points for all signature-based transactions too.

Do you offer Apple Pay & Google Pay?

Yes, Advanced Financial FCU debit cards may be used in Apple Pay and Google Pay. Download the digital wallet app compatible with your smartphone and follow the instructions to add your AFFCU debit card. The mobile app can be used at point of sale to make payment at any merchant accepting Apple Pay or Google Pay and certain online and app-based transactions can now also be completed using one of the “pays”.

If I need a loan do I have to come to one of the branches?

No need to go to a branch to apply for a loan, you can apply online on our website, submit all the needed documents through an email, or fax it to the loan department. Loan closing can now also be completed electronically using DocuSign.

Can I still refer family members to Advanced Financial?

Once you are a member, you will always be a member at Advanced Financial with all benefits including referring family members and friends who live, work worship or go to school in Union or Essex Counties.
